DMS Syncing to Your Website

Our DMS Sync is designed to keep your website accurate and up to date automatically.

What it does:

  • Updates pricing (MSRP or MAP) directly from your DMS
  • Keeps inventory counts accurate on your website
  • Shows available models based on what you have in stock

How it works:
Instead of listing every single unit, your website shows one model that represents all the units you have for that model.

Example:
– If you have 3 of the same model, your site will show that model once with “3 in stock”.
– When one sells, your DMS updates overnight, and the next day your site will show “2 in stock”.

 

Simple way to think about it:
Unlike cars, where each one can be different, your equipment is grouped by model.
So it shows one model with the total quantity, not separate listings for each unit.

IMPORTANT: Just to recap and make sure we’re clear:
The sync will not import products, product details, or images… Just pricing and the quantities you have of each model “in stock”.

In most cases, all we need is the DMS provider’s API documentation so we can see how their system works and what data is available through their API. If they don’t offer an API and only provide data through a JSON, XML, or CSV feed, that’s usually not a problem either. We can work with those formats and build the integration for you.
